Read Across America Week!
We will celebrate with dress-up days each day of the week.
Read In! - Monday, February 27 9:15 - 9:30 a.m.
We will start our week celebrating Read Across America with an influential statement to our students. We will begin our instructional day with a school-wide focus on reading. All students, teachers, and staff will sit in the hallway and the whole school will join together to drop everything and read at the same time. A quiet and powerful message of importance!
Book Parade! - Friday, March 3 3:00 - 3:25 p.m.
All students and teachers will participate in a fun Book Parade to wrap up our Read Across America celebration. Each student and teacher is encouraged to bring their favorite book to school and dress up as their favorite book character. All classes will get the opportunity to parade through the hallways as others watch and see the many favorite books and characters that our Stonewall students cherish. Parents are welcome to attend!
