The Capital Improvement Plan adopted by the School Board on December 6 includes three top priorities: construction of a fourth high school, the Armel Elementary School addition/renovation and the construction of a 12th elementary school. Each of these projects is needed to address current overcrowding and future enrollment growth.

FCPS is hosting a public information meeting on the construction of Frederick County’s fourth high school at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4 at Admiral Richard E. Byrd Middle School. Representatives from the school division and the architectural firm designing the school will provide an overview of the project, seek community input on the design and respond to questions.

Applications for Free and Reduced Price Meal Program
Applications for the Free and Reduced Price Meal Program are now available. Under the program, both school breakfast and lunch are available each day for free or at a reduced price for eligible students.
